This thread is for questionable content. WHY? Just because! I am someone who enjoys the Hodge Twins. YEP, the Hodge Twins. They probably make the hairs on the back of a WOKE person stand straight up! Anyway.....

At least some attempt is being made at justice for the unarmed veteran on january 6th.

nothing can bring her back but perhaps ,perhaps, police will think twice about shooting a unarmed person again.if she was black i am willing to bet the cop woulda got the death penalty.

Your last sentence is absolutely correct. And if the shooter was white, he would have been plastered over the news nonstop, instead of being hidden.
By phart [Ignore] 02,May,25 22:36 other posts
exactly, it was a couple years before his name was ever public and he is still well hid.
should be on trial for murder.
it would be half way understandable if she was holding a weapon as she came in the window,a gun or a club, but she was totally unarmed.
there were plenty of armed people around that the cop could have shot at and had some logical reason to do so. but he chose to shoot a woman that was unarmed.

Are you fucking mental? Your cops shoot/kill people all the time,
with way less evidence that they were in any/mortal danger.
Normally you think it's a capital offense just to talk back to a cop.
You've defended every single killer cop, no matter how clear their crime.

I agree that Ashley Babbit didn't need to get shot, but by YOUR normal standards, those cops were in their right to kill every single Jan 6th rioter, who acted violently that day.

All the people who we argued about previously were UNARMED.
Some were even cuffed and lying face down on the pavement.
Don't you think your double standards are a bit extreme now?

When it's people you identify with, almost nothing justifies them getting shot.
When it's a black person, you will find anything to justify them getting shot.
How about having reasonable standards and sticking to them?

Cops shouldn't shoot/kill anyone, unless someone's life is in mortal danger,
no matter their skin color or political ideology. How about having that standard?

Why are you and Phart so upset when a cop shoots an insurrectionist climbing into the Congress bldg to do injury and destructive mayhem but try to excuse a cop that kneels on the throat of a dying victim that was on the ground and not fighting? Double standard? What should this Capitol cop have done? Handed his weapon to the woman?
You, Sherryann and you, Phart, why don't you start to look at ALL the facts, pro and con?
By sherryann [Ignore] 07,May,25 22:15 other posts
Don't post my name here again cat52!. Don't say shit to me! I DON'T answer to you! She was unarmed and murdered by a black cop whose identity was hidden precisely because he's black-protected by the liberal MSM. You're a twisted thinker, an attention seeker, a sex offender lover, and a LIAR! I was the only one on this site who believed your heart story because I felt sorry for you. Silly me!
By CAT52! [Ignore] 08,May,25 00:27 other posts
Listen, Sherry, love is fickle. WOODY and I had been married for 20 yrs when his sexual crimes were brought to light. He was by then, the father of my three children. I supported him during his trial but separated. As soon as it was over I divorced him and we stayed divorced for 14 yrs. That was because I didn’t want my children to have to live with a sex offender father until they were adults. But, one can’t deny love. This man broke my cherry and he’s always been nothing but a prince to me. I know you and Skittles are friends and so I understand your disgust with me for loving a sex offender. So what do you want me to do? A man walks on the wrong side of the law for one time in 1984, one time, and he’s been condemned to a life living in a gilded cage. Murders don’t get such long sentences. Don’t get me wrong. I will never forgive him for what he’s done to my family and, especially, to me. But, I love him and no one, not you nor Skittles or those other bitches that follow his stench, will make me stop loving him even if I have to forfeit my soul because of it.
Now that I got that off my chest let me remind you that WE are members of a porn site. Neither you, me, or anyone else in ShowItOff walks the high moral ground.
If I’m a twisted thinker then what does that make you? You, that is terrified of living with people? Well, let me tell you what it makes you, a poor soul that makes me sad knowing that what I consider, a good and gentle woman has to suffer such a sad life.
Yes, I know you are a conservative person, but, and I don’t want to disrespect you, however, the truth is, you are also a racist bigot.
So, I will try to not post your name ever again. And if I forget, then, you will definitely have the right to call me a LIAR.
Go with God. May the rest of your life be a happy one.
By sherryann [Ignore] 08,May,25 15:27 other posts
Cat, any sex crime is wrong, especially when a kid is involved. You say I'm "terrified of people"- it's called knowing where you're at. You say I am a "racist bigot". It's not racist to see and acknowledge what's happening right before your eyes. Plus you're the one who calls people "dirty jews" "rag heads" and "homos." I would never talk like that. You wouldn't last a day in a crooked dem-run high crime sanctuary city. You're good in a red state.
Not sure if your "Go with God" etc. is genuine or not...if so, I wish you the same.
By CAT52! [Ignore] 08,May,25 16:21 other posts
To the ā€œlady that won’t allow me to post her nameā€. You are right, any sex crime is wrong, especially if it involves kids. You won’t get an argument from me, but, why would you think differently? Is it because I love a man? I didn’t just say it, I strongly believe you are a racist bigot. Disguise it any way you like, you still put down liberalism as being a partner in the crime of your city.
Miami's crime rate is higher than both the national and Florida state averages, particularly for violent crimes. The city has a high rate of violent crimes, with a 1 in 180 chance of becoming a victim, and property crimes, including motor vehicle theft. Miami is also a significant hub for fraudulent activities, leading the nation in reported fraud cases.
I survive my city and you are right. It is a red city, but, it’s a city were you other Americans abandoned it while taking Old Glory with you. The ones with cojones stayed and fought. We didn’t hide in our houses trembling from fear.
Yeah, in the heat of the moment I do call individuals a Dirty Jew or a rag head, or a homo. So what? I’ve never turned my back to help any unfortunate and I don’t care what ethnicity or sexual proclivity they happen to be.
The Go with God, etc, was and is genuine. I just don’t need reciprocity……..nor do I want it.

You won't get it again I guarantee you. YOU called ME out, in a post with two short opinions about J6. What the fuck is it with you? I don't CARE what your husband did, you love him, good! Who cares!? I'm not interested in ANY of it including you thinking I'm a racist! I don't give a fuck what you think about me, don't give a fuck about crime here or there or anywhere! If you want to call people those names, have at it. It doesn't have anything to do with me. I know how much of an attention seeker you are, so keep posting like you're known to do. Talk to yourself, not to me!

You might say I like expressing my opinions about what I care about. This is an open forum that's administered by Bella!. If you don't like comments on your posts, then don't post. FYI, I didn't call you out for your shortcomings as a person. All I said was that both you and Phart are applying a double standard and suggested you look at both sides of the question. You are the one who experienced a hissy-fit. Well, I'm not going anywhere and I'll talk to anyone I want. What are you going to do? Pull a Skittles and send inappropriate pictures from my page to my kids?
BTW, I commend you for your command of the art of deflection. I see that if you can't defend your views with facts or truths you go for the indignation and name calling. Classy, very classy, lady.
By sherryann [Ignore] 08,May,25 18:42 other posts
Fuck you! The capital police officer's actions were wrong. "Hissy fit"? Because I told you not to post my name here? You think the white lady deserved to get murdered and I don't. Nothing more nothing less.

Do NOT bring Sir-Skittles name into this!
By CAT52! [Ignore] 08,May,25 20:44 other posts
You are wrong. I don't believe anyone deserves to be killed, especially murdered. You just made an assumption. The wrong one but an assumption.

Skittles is already part of this chat. You don't think I see that it's Skittles that's doing the chatting while you front for him? Sorry to tell you but you are not clever enough to be so confrontational. You want to be the go between? Tell him I don't scare easily and if he wants to tell something to my face, all he had to do is publicly state he won't trash my page and I'll unblock him. Till then, change your rag often. You sound like a pissy little girl.

It has been my hope that posters can have an opinion while still maintaining civility toward others. With that said, I did not find your initial post to be offensive however something struck a sour note with sherryann.

Yes, sometimes the head and heart can conflict but I’m having a difficult time processing and understanding loving someone who has commits an egregious crime; murder, r@pe*, molestation, etc. I’m really trying to be open minded without judging you.

Like I've said above, love is fickle. Judge away. I have to face myself every morning and ask my reflection, "Why?" Our divorce lasted 14 yrs. My choice. My hurt. It wasn't as if there weren't plenty of other men who would have loved to share the rest of their lives with me. I just couldn't help myself. Now, this year marks 54 yrs since we said our original vows in 1971.

My good friend Dr Phil thinks that you are afraid to grow old alone and that is why you took him back I have the same problem that is why I have a Marcy would i rather live alone of course no drama no having to pee out side because she is hogging the bathroom or any of that stuff but I also am afraid to live alone at my age I’m not big on the medical profession don’t trust them so when things go wrong with me it is usually life threatening
By bella! [Ignore] 14,May,25 06:13 other posts
I don’t believe that I’m ā€œafraidā€ to grow old alone, I am quite content. I do what I want to do and when I want to do it. Sometimes I think about my life and it saddens me when I come home and no one there to give me a hug or ask me how my day was. Sometimes I wish there was someone to discuss different matters with that would help me in making decisions but ultimately, I like making my own decisions.

Hey, dgraff, I’ve my haven’t had to pee outside in a hundred years! Those days are far behind me….drinking too much, not being able to make it home and needing to scope things out so I could pop a quick squat!

I think the cop that shot and killed Ashli Babbitt acted out of fear. He had no good reason to kill her, there were other options to resolve the situation. He could have pulled her out of the hole she was crawling through, overpower her and cuff her. Or he could have punched her groggy, so cuffing her was easier. Dutch cops have been under similar situations and they didn't kill anyone. It's how your cops are trained that results in civilians losing their lives.

I have told your side this many times, but you keep rejecting it.
You can only see that something is wrong, when it happens to one of you.

There is one difference though. Your side defends cops who shoot people out of fear
in almost every situation: one cop against one unarmed black man -> the black man deserved it somehow. You have ALWAYS picked the side of the cop.
The Jan 6th cop wasn't facing just Ashli Babbitt one on one! There was a crazed mob waiting to follow her, threatening to kill them. You must have seen the video.

They didn't have a good reason to kill Ashli Babbitt, but it's very clear that under that situation they were going to be forced to shoot someone, to save their own lives.
It wasn't necessary to shoot to kill, but shooting a few in the legs was inevitable.

When you have a system that protects cops that kill people, in almost any situation,
then they won't be held accountable when it happens to someone you care about.
Now it's Ashli Babbitt, but next time it could be a family member. This happens to
black people ALL THE TIME, but you don't want to hear about that. Meanwhile,
Trump is signing executive orders that make your cops even more dangerous.

"2. Make it more difficult to hold officers accountable for misconduct"
Do you think another Ashli Babbitt will be cared about in the future?

the 1 that claimed he could not breath should have been left in the police car until a ambulance came, the cop had something against that man and used that moment to take him out.
the jan 6 cop is just a fucking murderer that should be in jail.period. plenty of armed people he could have been afraid of. there was a fellow walking around with horns on his head, he mighta got gored by a horn, shoot shoot.
but no, he waited until a unarmed WHITE woman was halfway in a room thru a window and shot her. as defenseless as a child in that position.
By Ananas2xLekker [Ignore] 10,May,25 13:14 other posts
He was claiming that he could not breath, because the cop crushed his neck.
At least you now agree that it was murder of the first degree, while you previously blamed the victim, so we are making progress.

I agree that the Jan 6th cop is a murderer, but by your standards it was self defense.
You think just not following the orders of a cop is justification enough for him to shoot. Well, she didn't follow his orders. And it wasn't just the unarmed woman that was threatening them, but the whole crazed mob that stood behind her, ready to follow.
I don't know why you emphasize that she was white, because more than 90% of that mob was white. You're just showing that you think that it's a crime when a black cop shoots a white civilian and that it's self defense when a white cop shoots a black civilian.

Yes, she was defenseless as a child. Remember how you defended the cops,
when a mob of cops shot AN ACTUAL CHILD 60 TIMES?
Did any of those cops go to jail for that?
By phart [Ignore] 10,May,25 17:29 other posts
no not first degree, just a opportunity. so second degree or manslaughter maybe.
but still had the fellow could have acted like he had sense, and behaved and not passed a fake 20, and he could still be breathing

i bring up the fact i think the cop is racist and took a chance to kill a whitey, thats why i bring up the fact she was white. racism sadly works both ways.
By Ananas2xLekker [Ignore] 11,May,25 17:59 other posts
In most jurisdictions in the United States, proving premeditation is required to convict someone of first-degree murder. First-degree murder is typically defined as a willful, deliberate, and premeditated killing. Here's what that means legally:
- Willful: The person intended to kill.
- Deliberate: The person made a clear decision to kill, not in the heat of the moment.
- Premeditated: The person planned or thought about the killing before doing it — even if only briefly.

There is video evidence of him sitting on his neck for 9 minutes and 29 second.
I wouldn't call it "premeditated" after a minute, but when he continued that long,
while people are warning him that he was killing Floyd, I think that applies to "premeditated". Note the "even if only briefly" part.

You are forgetting that it was never proven that George Floyd actually used
that fake $20 bill, and certainly not that he INTENDED to use a fake $20 bill.
"The bill was reportedly marked as counterfeit by store employees, but there was
no trial or forensic evidence presented to prove whether the bill was actually fake —
or whether Floyd knew it was."
It was just an allegation.

we may have our own source of lithium but now suddenly it's mining impact is of concern to a few natives.
why isn't there concern for the folks in other countries where the shit is coming from>?

that old double standard again.
By Ananas2xLekker [Ignore] 13,May,25 12:15 other posts
I'm not really a liberal on all issues, but a socialist. However, YES, I want electric cars.
Or, more accurately, I think we need electric cars. It's not top priority, but important.

I know that lithium mining is damaging to the environment. There are lots of other problems associated with the production of batteries. Those are the downsides of electric cars. However, for as much as I can oversee, the upsides outweigh the downsides.
Worse destruction of nature has been inflicted for the extraction of fossil fuels. Huge parts of Canadian forests are being destroyed for tar sands, Germany is digging even larger pits in the ground for lignite, oil spills are poisoning whole peoples in Africa, the Deepwater Horizon disaster of 2010 released approximately 4.9 million barrels of oil into the Gulf of Mexico over 87 days, many oil tankers leaked oil over almost every beach in the world for decades, fracking is poisoning your tap-water, Texans can hardly walk outside without risking cancer from the air-pollution, NOT TO MENTION CLIMATE CHANGE.

Lithium mining is not threatening the lives of billions of people living around the equator, in the near future, climate change is. Besides, lithium is probably only a temporary resource needed for batteries. Sodium-ion batteries are expected to be mainstream around 2030.

There is no double standard; climate change is not just your standard type of pollution,
it is a much more urgent problem. Still, cars are only 7-8% of the problem.
It's just a very popular problem, because we all love the freedom of personal transport.

Energy production: ~40% of global CO2 emissions
Industry: ~20% of global CO2 emissions
Agriculture, Forestry & Land Use: ~18% of global CO2 emissions
Transport: ~15% of global CO2 emissions
Buildings: ~6% of global CO2 emissions
Waste: ~1–3% of global CO2 emissions

being we have folks here with strange views of life, i ask Grok ai a basic question.

The purpose of life varies for each person, often shaped by personal beliefs, experiences, and values. Philosophers, religions, and individuals have proposed different answers:

Philosophical perspectives: Existentialists like Sartre suggest we create our own meaning through choices and actions. Stoics, like Marcus Aurelius, emphasize living virtuously and in harmony with nature.
Religious views: Christianity often points to serving God and loving others. Buddhism focuses on achieving enlightenment through detachment and compassion.
Scientific angle: From a biological standpoint, life’s purpose could be seen as survival and reproduction, though this doesn’t address personal fulfillment.
Humanistic view: Many find purpose in relationships, creativity, personal growth, or contributing to others’ well-being.

Ultimately, it’s a deeply personal question. What gives you a sense of purpose or meaning? I can dig deeper into any specific angle if you’d like.

for some reason, cat and ananas don't comprehend a persons personal experience as a part of what forms a person.but even a bunch of computer chips acknowledges it.

Personally, Covid has been very positive for my health, in the end.
At first it wasn't, because I was working 3 FTE from home,
I was stressed, I had very high blood pressure and nightmares.
But then the job normalized, and we were back at the office partly.
That "partly" is the positive part. I work from home three days a week,
I don't have to get up at 5:50 am every day, so I sleep full nights most of the week.
I also have time to go for a walk every day after work. I feel better than ever.

That reminds me; time for my walk.
