Is anyone able to explain how a picture receives a rating? I understand that negative votes will impact so positive votes must but after that, the concept is fuzzy. I just tracked a pic that was recently submitted, it had 46 views and 2 comments that is at 100% rating yet there's a pic on the main page that has almost 300 views with 1 comment and no rating.

Case and point; Six5 is on the "Main Page" with 294 views/1 comment/no rating whereas ds86cimm had 50 views/4 comments/100 % rating (and that pic isn't on the main page). Makes no sense to me!
